The Lakehouse New Orleans Wedding & Event Venue: New Logo and Website Design

The Lakehouse New Orleans, a boutique wedding venue on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans had a vision to match their newly remodeled space with an online presence that captured the essence of their brand. Their goal? To create an inviting, tranquil, and timeless experience for couples planning their special day. Here's how I helped bring their vision to life with a new logo and website that showcases the venue’s beauty and elegance.

The Challenge: Building a Brand and Online Presence from Scratch

Without a website of their own, they had been relying on third-party platforms like Wedding Wire to showcase their space. While helpful, these platforms offered limited control over their brand’s aesthetic and didn’t fully capture the venue's inviting, tranquil, and timeless feel.

To take their business to the next level, they needed a dedicated online presence where they could showcase their unique style and efficiently capture leads. As part of their recent remodel, The Lakehouse NOLA wanted their branding to reflect the serene elegance of their space.

The Solution: Crafting a Tailored Brand and Website

Brand Discovery & Visual Identity

Our process began with an in-depth brand discovery session, during which The Lakehouse NOLA described their brand in three words: Inviting, Tranquil, and Timeless. Their chosen color palette—deep green/emerald, dark blue, black, and white—was the perfect reflection of their natural surroundings and sophisticated vibe. From these insights, I developed a moodboard that guided the design direction, using inspiration from their interior décor and images of the space they provided.

Logo Design, Website Design & Development

With a clear vision in mind, I created 12 initial logo concepts. After a collaborative review process, we quickly honed in on a winner that embodied their brand's elegance and timeless nature. In addition to the primary logo, I designed a square logo mark for use on social media and other marketing materials, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

With the logo and brand identity in place, we turned our focus to the website. I provided them with a copy template to guide their content creation, ensuring that each section of the website conveyed their unique selling points.

Using Squarespace, I built out the approved design, incorporating placeholder images while construction of the venue was completed. The homepage and key subpages were designed to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and optimized for capturing leads.

Once professional photos of the remodeled space were available, I updated the website, bringing the venue’s beauty to life online.

The Results: A Timeless Brand & Website to Capture Leads and Elevate Their Brand

The final product can show off Lakehouse NOLA’s inviting and tranquil atmosphere. With an elegant color scheme and beautiful images of the venue, the site offers potential clients a glimpse into the space and all the information they need to book a tour or inquire about availability.

Their clear vision, combined with our expertise in branding and web design, resulted in a stunning visual identity that will help them stand out in the competitive New Orleans wedding venue market. The website and logo we created will continue to serve as valuable tools in attracting couples looking for a beautiful, serene location to celebrate their special day.

The site gives them full control over their brand's look and feel while providing an easy-to-navigate platform for potential clients to learn more about the venue and book a tour. Now, instead of relying on third-party platforms, The Lakehouse NOLA has a dedicated online home that reflects their brand identity and helps them capture valuable leads.

In fact, since launching the website in October 2023, The Lakehouse NOLA has experienced phenomenal growth attracting 22,000 visitors in the first year alone!

This increased visibility has translated into a fully booked calendar for weddings, corporate events, and other celebrations.
