I’ve been in love with all things Cuba for awhile. The food, the people, the culture, the music. So when the U.S. sanctions were eased in 2015 my interest grew. New opportunities existed including for Cubans to start their own businesses and tap into their entrepreneurial spirit. But how could they do so with so little infrastructure, lack of technology and government restrictions? Questions that only going there to learn first hand would be the best way to find answers. And perhaps provide solutions by sharing any experiences and resources we have in hopes it can help them catch up to the twenty-first century. My interest in exploring the island was purely out of curiosity and passion for sharing the same sense of enthusiasm for their new found freedom.
